- Sibling discount: 10% off for the student in the family with the lowest monthly tuition — applied automatically.
- Drop-in classes: $20 per class. Visit the office 15 minutes before class to register.
- Tuition is billed on the 1st of each month and is non-refundable once processed.
- Late fee: $15 if tuition is unpaid after the 5th.
- Payments accepted: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and debit cards. Cash is always welcome at the front desk.
Two free trial classes
- New students may take up to 2 free trial classes in different age-appropriate styles. After 2 trials, additional classes may be tried for a $20 drop-in fee.
- Returning students first pay the $10 returning-student registration fee, then get the same 2 free trials.
- Trials cannot be repeated in the same class, day, and time.
- Your card is not auto-charged for trials — enroll as a trial in the Parent Portal from any class listing.
- No special shoes or attire needed for a trial: form-fitting, movable clothes and bare feet or socks are fine.
- Families with outstanding fees are not eligible for free trials.
Makeup classes
- Only currently enrolled students may take makeup classes.
- Teachers take roll in class; makeup credits are applied to the student's account automatically — do not submit absences via the portal (that feature has been removed).
- Makeup credits expire 30 days after the missed class.
- Makeups are taken in a different, age-appropriate class with openings and no waitlist.
- Schedule through the Parent Portal, or at the office up to 15 minutes before class.
- Credits are per student (not shareable between siblings) and cannot replace tuition.
- If a credit doesn't appear after an absence, email info@ocpaadance.com to have it corrected.
- Competition team families: the portal change does not alter your notification requirements — notify the studio for all absences and rehearsal teachers directly for missed rehearsals.
Dropping a class
Drops are only accepted via the drop form or in person at the front desk — not by phone or email.
- Submit drops before the 1st of the month to avoid being billed.
- Drops requested between the 1st and 5th receive a tuition credit on the family account.
- Drops requested after the 5th are not credited or refunded.
- Parents cannot drop classes directly through the portal.
- To change classes (rather than drop), email info@ocpaadance.com from the address linked to your portal account.
- One form per student. Google Forms emails you a copy on submission — if you don’t receive it, your form likely didn’t go through; please resubmit.
What to wear
Form-fitting, movable, hair away from the face — and for a trial class, none of it is required: comfy clothes with bare feet or socks are fine. Once enrolled, here's the kit by style. Logo gear, dance clothes and shoes are at their sister site, Studio Fix Boutique.
- Ballet
- Black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a neat bun. Recommended for all ages; required for ages 6 and up.
- Jazz & Technique/Combo
- Form-fitting, stretchable dance clothes plus tan jazz shoes (black OK for class; tan is usually required for recital). Hair pulled away from the face.
- Tap
- Form-fitting dance clothes plus black tap shoes with tights or socks.
- Tumbling
- Form-fitting dance clothes. Bare feet.
- Stretch/Flexibility
- Form-fitting dance clothes. Bare feet.
- Contemporary
- Form-fitting dance clothes. Bare feet or dance socks.
- Hip Hop
- Loose-fitting, movable street clothes or dance clothes. Sneakers.
- Voice/Musical Theater
- Loose, movable clothes. Sneakers or jazz shoes.
- Combo classes (e.g. tap/ballet)
- Dance clothes plus the shoes for each style — students simply change shoes when the teacher switches.
