Together, parents and children will enjoy bonding through music and movement while laying the foundation for future dance skills. This class participates in both the Winter and Summer Recitals, giving dancers the chance to shine on stage alongside their parent. Attire: Comfortable playwear or leotard/tights with ballet shoes or jazz shoes. Hair should be secured away from the face.

    Our youngest dancers will build confidence and coordination in this fun and engaging class designed just for preschoolers! Students will explore the fundamentals of jazz technique—including basic positions, simple steps, and musicality—while also learning beginner tumbling skills to improve balance, strength, and flexibility. The class is divided between jazz and tumbling, giving little dancers a chance to develop both artistic movement and physical skills. Attire: Students should wear form-fitting clothes such as leggings, jazz shorts, tank tops, leotards or jazz tops, along with tan jazz shoes. Hair must be pulled up and away from the face.

This class is geared toward experienced dancers with prior competition team training and will focus on the specialized technique required for Song/Pom: pirouettes, à la seconde variations, leg-hold turns (with and without poms), toe touches, leaps, and flexibility. Dancers will strengthen their performance quality while elevating the precision and athleticism necessary to succeed on a team. This class is designed with the advanced training needs of experienced competition dancers in mind, ensuring they are challenged and prepared for high school Song/Pom.

    Stretch/Flexibility

    Stretching has a number of benefits for dancers. Stretching helps keep muscles long, while exercise gives them additional strength. This class will teach how stretching properly helps to prevent injury, by making the muscles more pliable. In addition, students will work on improving posture, increasing flexibility and range of motion and strengthening the muscles. It will also aim at increasing the core body strength essential for a dancer.
